Alton, NH- Revolution United is happy to announce that they have added an additional volunteer staff member to their team, Tracey Therrien. Tracey has taken on the role of being the club’s Administrator, monitoring emails, answering questions, and helping the club further its communication to all parents. She has been volunteering with the club for almost a year, and enjoys seeing the players within the program excelling in all of the events she attends. She is excited to learn more about the club, along with the community within it.
Revolution is happy to have her provide the very important assistance of communicating with parents. The goal is to have answers to parents questions within 24-48 hours of being asked. Tracey is a great part of the reason the club has been able to keep up since she has joined. Tracey also joins Revolution United at many of the events that they hold throughout the year. Whether it’s running concessions, checking teams in, or going around answering questions, she always steps up to do what is asked of her. Just recently, she could be found at Elite Sports Academy in the evenings throughout the Indoor Soccer season, at the End of the Season Basketball Event, End of the Year Awards Night, etc. “I enjoy attending the events or tournaments that are put on by the club. Taking pictures for special outings such as Halloween Kick or Treat, helping out our young volunteers at concessions, and watching the kids have fun are just a few of the things I am glad to do.” Tracey said when asked about what she liked about the club. She is also excited for what the future could hold for Revolution United. “I like to think that the growth of the club comes with more kids in the community being reached to play the sports that they love.” Tracey stated. “The more kids come together as a team, the better they will be at challenging themselves and their teammates to become better. I am also excited for the club to give more opportunities for all new and current players to improve or develop their skills, and move forward to reaching their goals.” She continued. If you have any questions regarding any programs, events, or other information about the club, remember to reach out to admin@revsunited.com.

Alton, NH - Revolution United announces Coach Shane Flood is returning for the upcoming Spring Soccer season to lead the High School Girls team. Coach Flood comes with a great deal of experience, and has been with the club since 2017. He has coached many teams competitively and well as a part of the Revs recreational programs, and always finds ways to keep his players motivated.
When asked what he was looking forward to the most for the upcoming Spring season, Flood answered “A group of players gaining confidence and becoming a team.” Coach Flood is licensed coach within the US Soccer ranks for 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11 play. He also coaches for Kingswood Regional High School as the Girls Varsity Coach, and has coached for the Granite State Games in past years. Flood enjoys when he can get his players to work together as a team and improves throughout the season. He likes to educate all of his players on the game- especially how to simplify it. This is a big part of his coaching strategy and philosophy. “My general philosophy has been to maintain an atmosphere where players are relaxed, engaged and do not fear the consequences of mistakes, while (trying) to inspire players to be creative and proactive in their own development,” Flood said. Flood stresses that mistakes will be made as part of the game, and the biggest key is to recover and learn from them. “In the first few years I focused heavily on player development. My style has changed to include strength training and injury prevention” Coach Flood added. We are looking forward to another great season with Coach Shane Flood at the helm of our High School Girls team! Keep an eye out in the next few months to see their schedule. If you have any questions about this team or any other Spring program, visit revsunited.com or contact us at admin@revsunited.com. Coming back after the COVID-19 break from last spring, Coach Jayme Kennedy's team has been ready to get on the field together and based on this season's results, they haven't missed a beat.
"The kids have come ready to play every day. They're hungry and eager to put in the effort it takes to win games," said the Head Coach. After much of the state took last spring season off, nobody knew when they next time teams would be back on the fields again. Having gone through an adjusted school soccer schedule to keep travel and contact to a minimum, some teams went back to their indoor seasons. However, like many would express, the spring soccer season was still missed by coaches, players and fans. The U14 Revs team has come back strong with a current record of 4 Wins, 1 Tie and 0 losses. "Starting the season 4-0-1 in a tough division is a great way to start any season. Our offense has put together some great opportunities in the first four games leading to 15 goals. I've been very happy with our defensive play and our goalies have been able to handle the task of seeing some tough shots from our opponents," coach Kennedy said. "Jayme and his players have come out strong again this season. There is no doubt the players are bought into Coach Kennedy's style of play and they are showing it on the field," said Cory Halvorsen, Executive Director for Revolution United. "With just 3 games left in the regular season I am sure we will continue to see them at the top of the table going into playoff weekend." The remaining games will continue to be a challenge heading into the back half and nowhere to let down against some very talented teams in the league. "Three games left so that means 3 tough opponents left. We're taking it one game at a time with a goal to make playoffs," said Kennedy. "I want to see the kids keep being relentless and working hard. Keep playing together as a team and have that never give up attitude." The Rev's are scheduled to play in Derry, who is currently the number 2 seed, after the Memorial Day Weekend break. Epsom, NH - Revolution United Sports Group is pleased to announce our official partnership with Elite Sports Academy (ESA) in Epsom, New Hampshire. ESA will serve as the official home of Revolution United Sports Group for indoor soccer programs, camps, Mini Revs, specialized strength and conditioning programs and much more.
Expected to open fall of 2021, Elite Sports Academy broke ground early last week on their 22,000+ square foot building which will host turf field space, batting cages, weight room and a golf simulator. Revolution United has been tapped to take on league play for all soccer programs including programs for recreational and competitive for youth and adult leagues. "We are excited to be moving forward with this project as James and everyone at ESA have been great to work with in the planning stages," said Cory Halvorsen, Executive Director for Revolution United. "This is something that has required a lot of careful planning and consideration, and know it is the right step in continuing to move Revolution United in the direction to offer programs for all players no matter their skill level." Revolution United has been known in the area as primarily a soccer club that was established in 2011, and has since grown into multiple sports all with the same mission. Providing an opportunity for players to play a sport that they love no matter their skill level or financial situation. With many opportunities available, there are registrations that fit all of the needs of someone's current situation. The club has maintained this same policy throughout the past 10 years it has been established and to try and give as many opportunities to the community as possible. With the expansion with Elite Sports Academy, Revolution United will continue to look at ways to increase participation in all of the sports that are offered and make Epsom just another location where the community can be served. “We are very excited to announce this partnership with Revolution United and Elite Sports Academy (ESA). The Revs are best in class in the soccer world and having them call Elite Sports Academy their home solidifies ESA as providing the youth in the area with not only a top notch facility, but also quality programs to develop as athletes in various sports.” said James Christie, President Elite Sports Academy Over the next weeks and months, work will be taking place not only on site but also behind the scenes. Program Director, Lucas Therrien will be taking on the role of league operations as well as the regular day to day for the Revolution organization. Leagues will be offered for indoor soccer for ages U8-Adult, boys and girls. Additional information will be coming out over time as far as session start dates, team registration information and much more. Questions regarding our new partnership please email admin@revsunited.com REVS 3V3 NATIONAL TEAM: From L-R: Makenzy Holden, Jordan Whittier, Reilly Gray, Autumn Sheets, Makayla Richard, Gabby Clark Alton, NH - As the remote learning school season starts winding down, seniors are not practicing their graduation walk, but are thinking about what they will wear while sitting in their cars waiting to be called up as they graduate Friday May 29 from Prospect Mtn High School. Prospect will still give the graduates a ceremony, one that will look much different than in years past; in fact, much difference than ever.
While many seniors are left with some sadness, the loss of prom, senior trip, cookouts and yearbook signings, they have also made so many memories with their friends and classmates. While some of these things may have been taken away this year, nobody can ever take away the championships won, the songs sung, the winter carnival days, the bus rides home from Berlin, or the cold games where you need to remind yourself why you still play soccer. These will always be a part of you and a part of growing up. Two of our seniors were on the 3v3 National team this year participating in New Hampshire & Massachusetts, futsal in Maine and were supposed to head to Orlando, Florida in April. This was just one of the cancellations thanks to COVID-19. Both seniors, Reily Gray and Gabby Clark always showed true excitement for this team and the trip that was upcoming. Making many memories along the way, some hard practices, some fun times, some nicknames for coaches and of course lots of laughs. They were deserving of the trip to Florida not only based on their skill, but for their leadership, dedication, encouragement and drive. With that, we would like to say Congratulations to our seniors from our 3v3 team. Reily and Gabby, you will both do amazing things in life and you will be missed at the Revs!
Dear Revolution United families,
This message comes to you with mixed emotions as I am sure we have all experienced over the last several weeks. Many of us over the last few weekends have been enjoying the beautiful weather, sunny skies and great soccer temperatures hoping that we would be on the soccer field. Many parents have reached out to us directly with encouragement as we all did what was needed behind the scenes to make sure if we had a season that we were ready to move quickly. Unfortunately as of this positing, we have received official word that the NH Soccer League and the NH Soccer Association have made the difficult decision to cancel the spring 2020 competitive soccer season. This is the first time in the history of Revolution United that a spring soccer season has been cancelled and know that it hurts us as we are all parents of players as well. For some, this would have been their first season playing competitive soccer and for others, this was officially their last season of playing for the Revs organization as they will officially "age out" of these programs. No matter which way you look at it. it is very disappointing. As families, we have all gone through quite a bit in the last several weeks and still do not have a clear picture on what the "new normal" will be and what that will look like. We know that our very first goal will always be to keep our families safe so we can see you all back on the fields as soon as possible. We have players within our club that are current seniors at high school, and missing their important memory making events. We have 8th graders that aren't getting that chance to officially "step up" to enter the high school like many before them. Everyone has gone through changes, and I believe everyone wants to push forward and see the Revs families back together again. Over the next few weeks, we will be putting out information on refunds and credits for the spring 2020 season and how that will all work. In the meantime, there is a lot of information you can find here to answer questions you may have (SPRING FAQ's) We ask that you please hold off from emailing or calling during this time as we assure you all of our planning that has gone into this will ensure all families are accounted for with their registrations, and we want to make sure that nobody is missed. Lastly, to our volunteer coaches, administrators, equipment and field directors, I want to thank you all for once again stepping up to make sure we were ready and on standby to try and get this season to go forward. Please know, there was still a lot of work behind the scenes going on from coaches joining zoom calls, to registrations and player cards being at the ready, and rosters being finalized. This is all done 100% by our great volunteers. Just like many other clubs, we always have expenses going into a season. This year, we purchased a new set of goals, nets, and field paint just to get prepared for our continued growth and to continuing investing in our club and players. Some have reached out to express their interest in making a donation to the club. While it is certainly appreciated please understand that we want to make sure your family is taken care of first. We have put ourselves in a position where we will continue to be fair with our registration fees, be able to create new opportunities with our partnerships, and continue our growth for success for our players on and off the field for many years to come. I hope you all remain safe and healthy and truly hope we will see you all on the fields again very soon. Sincerely, Cory Halvorsen Executive Director Director of Coaching, Soccer |
