Alton, NH - Revolution United announces Coach Shane Flood is returning for the upcoming Spring Soccer season to lead the High School Girls team. Coach Flood comes with a great deal of experience, and has been with the club since 2017. He has coached many teams competitively and well as a part of the Revs recreational programs, and always finds ways to keep his players motivated.

When asked what he was looking forward to the most for the upcoming Spring season, Flood answered “A group of players gaining confidence and becoming a team.” Coach Flood is licensed coach within the US Soccer ranks for 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11 play. He also coaches for Kingswood Regional High School as the Girls Varsity Coach, and has coached for the Granite State Games in past years.

Flood enjoys when he can get his players to work together as a team and improves throughout the season. He likes to educate all of his players on the game- especially how to simplify it. This is a big part of his coaching strategy and philosophy.

“My general philosophy has been to maintain an atmosphere where players are relaxed, engaged and do not fear the consequences of mistakes, while (trying) to inspire players to be creative and proactive in their own development,” Flood said.  Flood stresses that mistakes will be made as part of the game, and the biggest key is to recover and learn from them. “In the first few years I focused heavily on player development. My style has changed to include strength training and injury prevention” Coach Flood added.

We are looking forward to another great season with Coach Shane Flood at the helm of our High School Girls team! Keep an eye out in the next few months to see their schedule.
