Alton, NH - Revolution United is happy to welcome back Coach Jayme Kennedy for another year of Spring Soccer. Coach Kennedy will be leading his now-U15 team that he has been with for several years. Entering his fourth year with the club, he will be coming off of a championship season from last Spring after a very impressive showing with no defeats. His team was simply unstoppable. “I’m really looking forward to getting the same group of players back on the field and see how they respond from last year’s championship season. I expect this season to be very competitive against some really good teams” Kennedy expressed. Kennedy also received Revolution United’s Competitive Coach of the Year Award for his commitment and excellence throughout the Spring.
Coach Kennedy was the coach of Pittsfield Middle High School’s Girls Varsity soccer team for seven years, where he developed his coaching strategies and philosophy to be what it is now. When asked what aspects of coaching he enjoys, Kennedy responded with “Working with the players to make sure I always get the best out of them. Watching them grow as soccer players and always making sure they are ready for the next challenge that awaits them. I’ve always enjoyed in game adjustments to counter anything the opposing team is doing well or not well.” Coach Kennedy believes that adapting to the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses are key points to having success in the competitive games the team plays. The coaching aspects that he enjoys ties into his coaching philosophy. “As a coach, it’s my job to get the best out of a player, support that player, and guide that player. It’s also the players job to put in the time, effort and have a great work ethic to develop into a great player.” Kennedy certainly believes that there are two sides to every player. The coach plays an important role, along with each players work ethic. This is a great philosophy to have for the development of players. Support Kennedy’s team this season as they look to defend their title as champions!
