With the winter season upon us, and registrations closing for the upcoming basketball season we want to provide our updates as we get closer to our program start dates.
With COVID-19 continuing to be a heightened issue we are all facing, we continue to work with all programs, organizations and facilities to ensure our safe return to basketball. That said, we will follow all regulations for the safety of the players, coaches and parents. This may mean a delay in start dates for practices, games and the season, with our goal to once again get back to playing basketball safely. As we work together with the other towns, Revolution United Sports continues to remain focused on the teams within Alton, Barnstead and Pittsfield basketball. There are many options that are currently being discussed, with those including delayed start dates, extension of the season end date (normally February extending into March), etc. Right now, we will continue to stay the course with our registrations, creating team rosters, assigning team coaches, etc. to ensure they can communicate with their teams as plans are made. Behind the scenes, we are working with schools and various facilities to see all of the options available, working through different scheduling options and trying to create the best and safest opportunity for all involved. We would like to thank all of the fall teams, players, parents and coaches on a safe return to soccer this recreational season as teams finish their regular season play this weekend. This season has had very little disruption and great cooperation from all involved, including the most recent conclusion of our Mini Revs program. As we have additional information on the basketball season, it will be posted here on our basketball page under COVID-19 ALERTS. Thank you for your continued cooperation. Stay safe!
