Concord, NH - Revolution United announces the addition of James Rouillard as the Head Coach of the HS Boys Revs City team, starting this spring. Coach Rouillard comes to the Revs from the NHTI soccer program.

"Adding Coach Rouillard is giving the Revs City boys a new level of access to a player and coach that brings energy and excitement to the field," said Lucas Therrien, Director of Sports Operations for Revolution United. "We are thrilled he has chosen to join the Revolution United staff as we continue to grow the Concord, NH programs."

Coach Rouillard is also bringing along with him his first assistant, Coach Ethan who also comes to the Revs from the NHTI soccer program.

Current Head Men's Soccer Coach Aaron Miller said, "James is well under-way to becoming a fine educator. There is something to be said about individuals who dually demonstrate commitment to the 'game', while quietly expressing servant-leadership qualities as a Student-Athlete. I fully expect his Coaching Style, and, Goals, will match the expectations of Revs Soccer as he steps his toes into the waters of the Coaching world."

"With the significant growth that Revolution United has seen in our Concord programs, we want to make sure that all of our teams feel supported in the same way across all of our programs," said Cory Halvorsen, Executive Director for Revolution United. "For the Revs, it isn't about having the most teams, but is about developing our young soccer players no matter their abilities, and finding the best teams for them and at the best value that we can provide."

Revolution United is kicking off their spring soccer season with the NH Soccer League this week.

More on Coach Rouillard

I currently play on the Men's Soccer team at NHTI-Concord's Community College. I have played soccer for as long as I can remember, at all different levels of the game. I played competitive club soccer from 8-14 years old before I began playing at the high school level. I have had a variety of different coaches throughout the years that have taught me what it means to be a part of a team, soccer knowledge, and encouraged me to be the best player I could be on and off the pitch. I completed my coaching license for Grassroots 11v11.  My goal and expectation to achieve this season is to have every player grow, in both skill and game knowledge. For expectations, I hope every player comes with the drive to win and leaves everything they have out on the field. My favorite teams to watch are Liverpool FC and the New England Revolution. I also like a variety of players including George Best, Lionel Messi, and De Bruyne. I look forward to getting to know my players all over the season!

More on Coach Ethan

I currently play on the Men's Soccer team at NHTI. I have been playing soccer pretty much since I could walk. In my 16 years of playing, I have played at several levels, including the collegiate level. I have played recreationally for my town, as well as competitively for the club. Around the age of 8, I joined my first club team and played until my freshman year of high school at 14. In my 6 years of playing club soccer, I both upgraded foundational skills I learned and developed new skills that I continue to use as I play. I would like to say I have an above-average soccer IQ. This is something I would say is due to my love of watching the game, especially when watching my favorite club, Liverpool FC. This knowledge of the game is something I have gained from watching, Steven Gerrard in particular, who is known as a mastermind and a leader on the field, who is someone I strive to model after on and off the field to help my team.
