3v3 World Championships - Day 1 Recap

The boys U16 and U13 teams have traveled down to Orlando, Florida after qualifying earlier in 2017 for the World 3v3 Championships. Over 500 teams are in attendance at this event from all over the US, Mexico, Canada and Puerto Rico.

On day 1, the U16 Boys started off early at a 9:05am game facing a new STA New Jersey team. At half time, the score was 3-0 in favor of the Revs off of some great teamwork and passing by the boys. Going into the second half, they did not back down scoring another 3 and keeping the shutout to win 6-0.

In game 2, they say a tough, returning team from North Carolina. The team was physical and fast but Revs managed to get some goals against them and stand up to this tough team. Unfortunately, they came up short and took their first loss.

In game 3, they saw another returning team, and returning champions from the 2017 season from PA West. This team was big and had some great ball control. It was a back to back game in the first half with some unlucky opportunities for the boys. They fell to PA West but are determined to see them again before the tournament ends.

As for the U13's, they started their first action also at 9:05am and first ever action at a tournament of this size. They came out strong beating St. Louis in their first game of the day.

Their second game they knew was going to be a little tougher looking at some earlier results as they faced Florida. The boys were up at half 3-1 however faced a strong opponent who came back in the second half, and ended with a tie 4-4.

In the last and final game of the day, the boys saw players from Oklahoma. The Revs saw an opportunity to capitalize and continue their undefeated record, which they did with a 5-3 win.

Day 2 will kick off at 9:05 with the U16's taking on Colorado
